Communications Techniques and Tactics Project
As part of my master’s program at the University of Mary Global Campus, in MSC 620: Communications Techniques and Tactics, I took on the role of a junior account executive at a PR firm, creating the following materials for a client of my choosing, intended for different publics distributed over different channels and platforms:
Client: The SPCA of Texas
Conducted a situation analysis and drafted the first half of a communications plan.
Wrote a multimedia news release, (fictional) executive bios, an Instagram post, a pitch letter, and a fact sheet.
Drafted a speech for an event and rehearsed Q&As.
Helped organize a fundraising event (Pet Day) for my client. Worked on various traditional and social media products while adding an ethically and legally compliant activity to the event, and also became familiar with supporting products, including an event budget, timeline, maps, and contingency plans.
